16:04.56tasslehoffAnyone know where the OMAPES variable that libgles-omap3 uses is set? I've been grepping TMPDIR and the recipes, but can't figure it out. Beagleboard gets a -L<something>/libgles-omap3-4.05.00.03-r25/gfx_rel_es3.x while my board gets -L<something>/libgles-omap3-4.05.00.03-r25/gfx_rel, and it seems to be the OMAPES envvar that controls it.

16:16.55tasslehoffhm. I guess the Q is how the ${BINLOCATION} in TARGET_CC_ARCH in libgles-omap3.inc, has gotten an _es<n>.x suffix when the compilation starts.

19:25.28frayhow do I stop a particular package from building using parallel make?
19:26.19tasslehoffwhat will the ?= do? set something if it is not already set?
19:26.41frayfoo ?= bar  -- set foo to bar if foo has not been previous set..
19:26.55frayfoo ??= bar  -- wait until the very end of evaluation, and if foo is STILL not set, then set it to bar
19:29.26tasslehofffray: thanks. where should I have read this instead of asking you? :)
19:29.34tasslehoffThe Source?
19:31.24fraythe bitbake manual (look in the bitbake directory) has that..
19:31.46frayit lists the various evaluation items.. +=, .=, =+, =., =, :=, ?=, and ??=
19:31.55fray(and of course "=")
19:33.04tasslehoffah, didn't know the docs was in there. I've just seen outdated versions online :)

19:44.38tasslehoffto answer my own Q from earlier. my layer has an omap3.inc, but I missed "require conf/machine/include/soc-family.inc", and got BINLOCATION instead of BINLOCATION_omap3. case closed.

21:21.46GNUtoo-desktopbluelightning, hi, by what is palmtopdir set?
21:22.04bluelightningGNUtoo-desktop: it's now set via the palmtop-defs bbclass
21:22.45bluelightningGNUtoo-desktop: it used to be in bitbake.conf but Opie-specific stuff has no place in OE-core's bitbake.conf really, so I moved them out
21:23.11GNUtoo-desktopok
21:23.12bluelightningso every recipe that refers to palmtopdir/palmqtdir now inherits palmtop-defs
21:23.19GNUtoo-desktopbecause for me it's not set in that recipe:
21:23.20bluelightning(every recipe in meta-opie at least)
21:23.41GNUtoo-desktopopie-init.inc
21:24.13GNUtoo-desktopwhich leads to opie not starting for me because it looks in the wrong dir
21:24.14*** join/#oe XorA (~XorA@81.253.49.18)
21:24.50bluelightningGNUtoo-desktop: oh dear... you're right :/
21:24.55bluelightninghow did that get missed?
21:24.58bluelightningI'll fix it now
21:25.22GNUtoo-desktopok
21:25.35GNUtoo-desktopthanks a lot for fixing
21:25.47bluelightningoh I know why
21:26.17bluelightningmy original searches for recipes referring to palmtopdir excluded files containing "inherit opie"
21:26.24bluelightningwhich that file does, except it's commented out :(
21:26.29GNUtoo-desktopok
21:26.58GNUtoo-desktopbtw not related, but is it possible to get a bigger quit button?
21:27.04GNUtoo-desktoplike by changing some settings
21:28.57msmcan anyone comment if builds work over NFS?
21:31.47bluelightningGNUtoo-desktop: ok, fix pushed
21:31.57bluelightningGNUtoo-desktop: you mean the close button in the top right?
21:32.01GNUtoo-desktopyes
21:32.25bluelightningthat's controlled by the theme... it's somewhat annoying that it doesn't adapt to the screen size for any of the themes though
21:32.31bluelightningit's something I'd like to fix
21:33.17GNUtoo-desktopok
21:33.41GNUtoo-desktopbecause the right part is not very sensitive for my screen
21:33.45GNUtoo-desktopI'll try to recalibrate
21:34.19bluelightningI think some themes have larger buttons than others
21:34.36GNUtoo-desktopok

21:42.18bluelightningif you're talking about TMPDIR being on NFS
21:46.29GNUtoo-desktophmmm ts_harvest don't recognize one of the final touch....
21:47.02msmbluelightning: i seem to have issues
21:47.11msmbluelightning: its just stuck at 0% on an older release
21:47.18msmanyways, just taking notes
