12:50.55 | fireglow-M | I have a question about setting a non-Konsole terminal emulator in systemsettings, and when using that terminal emulator in Dolphins "Open Terminal here". How can I make the new program accept a directory argument upon clicking "Open Terminal here" in Dolphin? |

14:55.55 | Vamp898 | Hi, i asked this question quite some time ago, but didn't hat time to look further into it so here a second try. If i change the GTK+ Theme in systemsettings, i have to re-login to apply it (restart of the application doesn't help). If i do the same on GNOME, it gets applied on the fly, no need to even restart the application |
14:56.02 | Vamp898 | How does GNOME do that, and how can i archive that in KDE |
14:58.24 | jankusanagi_ | weird, if I change GTK settings in Plasma, just restarting the GTK-based program is enough |
14:58.46 | jankusanagi_ | might be thanks to XSettings though |

14:59.28 | Vamp898 | jankusanagi_ At least for chromium (which is not a "real" GTK+ application), it doesnt work. But restarting the application is not option, because it works on GNOME so there must be a way on KDE |
14:59.40 | jankusanagi_ | (on Plasma) |
14:59.45 | Vamp898 | true, yes |
15:00.02 | jankusanagi_ | still, doesn't make restarting the application "not an option" |
15:00.17 | jankusanagi_ | about Chromium, I wouldn't know |
15:03.11 | Vamp898 | jankusanagi_ for example when i am doing some intense work in GIMP, i dont want to save and reload everything, just because i want to enable dark mode |
15:05.26 | jankusanagi_ | so, again, AFAIK, that's what XSettings-KDE is for |
15:06.07 | jankusanagi_ | Descriptio: This package provides a XSettings daemon for Plasma Desktop. It allows XSettings aware applications (all GTK+ 2 and GNOME 2 applications) to be informed instantly of changes in KDE configuration, such as theme name, default font and so on. |

22:45.04 | Tomix-M | Hi I am new to KDE Plasma I have small but pretty annoying issue. When I am copying files or downloading some stuff with chrome the notification thing will popup (in 'System Tray' widget) and when it does 'rotating' animation it uses like 70% CPU its annoying because fans go on. I tried removing the widget and it fixed the issue but I want it. Does someone know how to fix that or some other notification widget? |
