00:00.02ic2000JanKusanagi: the minimised windows at the bottom , the applications open, how do i move them around like on windows
00:00.17ic2000e.g. i want chrome to go to the left of spotify
00:01.26JanKusanagiI don't know how things are on MSWindows, but you can just drag the buttons ins the task manager
00:01.40JanKusanagiif you can't, you just have to go to its settings and set the order mode to "manually"

09:08.40Triffid_Hunterwhy would they show up in print preview but not normal reading mode?
09:11.06akiki can trigger the "grab window automatically into move mode" by first clicking konsole in left display (1) and then clicking either menu bar or tab bar of firefox in right display (2). is there any fix for this window grabbing?

09:31.52n4muIn short, the issue was that krunner and kmenu were not showing, they would "immediatly disapear".
09:32.37n4muWe tried disabling effects and such, but no change in behaviour. After leaving it be for the night, I recalled that I changed "focus stealing prevention" from "medium" to "high"
09:32.50n4muThere seems to be a bug with "high"
09:33.07asturmyes there is
09:33.35akikwhat does focus stealing prevention do?
09:33.48n4muI recall a while back, a killer feature with KDE, some kind of smart focus theft prevention, I can't get it back to how it used to work.
09:34.29akikoh there was the description behind the ?
09:34.33n4muakik: for example, I open Firefox, but it takes a few seconds to open, in the meantime, I start typing in a terminal. Focus stealing prevention stops the FF from opening in front and capturing what I wanted to type in the terminal
09:35.38n4muso the "smart" focus prevention thing did something like; If I'm not doing anything, the new window goes in front and takes focus. If I am doing something, then the new windows shouldn't go in front, they should avoid "stealing focus".
09:36.42*** join/#kde Vojtaeus (~vojta@opensuse/member/vojtaeus)
09:36.58akikaha, in window actions, there was a setting "pass click" for left, middle and right buttons. i removed it and just left activate & raise. now i don't get that automatic window drag (move) any more
09:37.00*** join/#kde insecta (~olli@81-175-193-167.bb.dnainternet.fi)
09:39.47n4muFor me, the focus stealing thing is important, because with a slow/overloaded computer, you want to avoid windows popping up while you're typing in a window. Perhaps we were very few users using this.

17:42.48pedahzurHowdy! I've recently upgraded from Kubuntu 16.04 to Kubuntu 18.04. Seems ksnapshot has been deprecated, and spectacle is installed. When I try to give it a shortcut of the PrtScrn key, it tells me that conflicts with "Shortcut 'Print' in Application KDE Daemon for action Start Screenshot Tool." If I go in to the system config, I do see that shortcut assigned, but hitting Print Screen does nothing. How do I tell KDE Daemon that the screen
17:42.50pedahzurshot utility is now spectacle?
17:42.57asturm_for some time already yes
17:43.20asturm_this appears to be an upgrade issue
17:44.10asturm_the simplest fix, if you do not have extensive custom shortcuts defined, is to remove the khotkeyrc file from .config/ directory

17:44.51pedahzurasturm_:  Well, I don't want to blow that away, and the menu editor kindly offers to reassign...I just wondered how I could tell the KDE Daemon to use the new program.

22:20.28hq1_Hi, I'd like to donate to KDE, but the website (relate.kde.org) renders errors on submit; the errors refer to credit card validation (e.g. invalid CCV and stuff), even though I selected PayPal (it won't redirect me to paypal). I've sent a screenshot to the contact info linked, but that happened to be a mailing list, so I deleted my post in fear of it turning public (some personal data included on the
22:20.29hq1_screenshot). What can I do?
22:22.35hq1_Please fix the donations page, it should just work, esp. with a third party broker like PayPal. I'm on plasma 5.12.5, Firefox 60.0, no fancy plugins except for Cookie AutoDelete and uBlock Origin.

22:28.35hq1I don't use IRC much but please /query me, if you're the right person to help. I have a znc session here, so that should work. Cheers!
