01:41.10ArmOrAttAki installed mint 18 kde version and it suprisingly didn't include konqueror. i apt-get installed konqueror and it's not working as a file manager, i think it's missing some dependencies. i searched the cache for knoqueror and installed these: apt-get install konq-plugins konqueror-nsplugins libkio5 libkonq-common libkonq5-templates libkonq5abi1. That gave me the filesize view option only.
01:42.01ArmOrAttAki went through a couple pages of google but other sultions to the same problem did not work for me
01:42.45ArmOrAttAkthere are no icons on the start page
01:43.07ArmOrAttAkhow can i get list view?

02:06.46thiagothe file manager has been dolphin for 7 years
02:09.56ArmOrAttAkdolphin isn't that cool
02:10.25ArmOrAttAkwhen i discovered linux file manager choices were midnight commander and konqueror
02:10.48ArmOrAttAkyou can't drag and drop with midnight commander
02:10.57ArmOrAttAkis konqueror deprecated?
02:11.56ArmOrAttAkkonqueror is one of the reasons i install kde
02:12.24ArmOrAttAkeven though it always seems to be beta quakity :)
02:12.35ArmOrAttAkquality, rather
02:13.56ArmOrAttAknot konqueror as beta, kde as beta
02:14.48ArmOrAttAkdolphin is the amarok to clementine

02:15.40ArmOrAttAkand much less useful as a file manager than konqueror
02:16.18ArmOrAttAkjust kidding i love all kde programs
02:16.30ArmOrAttAkjust trying to get konqueror to work

03:08.07genstormthat's no excuse to use old versions with known issues
03:08.22genstormand konqueror not acting as file manager is just a packaging matter
03:08.31ArmOrAttAkold versions? isn't mint 18 latest?
03:09.10genstormthey are many Plasma and Frameworks and Applications and Qt versions behind
03:09.19ArmOrAttAkthanks for your advice genstorm
