13:45.57Psi-JackSo, I setup rules for Skype and Pidgin to use Autogroup by ID to use, both the same name, MyIMSet, and it's not tabbing them together in the same window.
13:46.31Sho_damn, because that's exactly what i would have suggested you do
13:46.33Sho_mgraesslin: ^
13:46.44Psi-Jacktilts his head.
13:47.12mgraesslinmight it be that it doesn't have a window decoration?
13:47.19Psi-JackIt does.
13:47.55Psi-JackBoth windows have their decorations enabled. Skype actually somewhat throws a fit when you turn it off. No more alert dialogs so, answering calls is a bit of a hassle. :)
13:49.13Psi-JackAnd this is KDE 4.11.2
13:49.19Psi-JackFrom Fedora 19
13:49.34mgraesslinIIRC autogroup only works for windows of same application
13:50.03Psi-Jackmgraesslin: That's why the Autogroup by ID is there, so you can set a name that both completely seemingly unrelated windows can be supposedly autogrouped.
13:50.05Sho_that's weird, why is the id thing there then?
13:50.26Psi-Jackhttp://userbase.kde.org/KWin_Rules_Window_Attributes#Arrangement_.26_Access
13:50.28Sho_Psi-Jack: mgraesslin is the kwin maintainer, so he's somewhat qualified to know in theory
13:50.42mgraesslinI'm not really familiar with the autogrouping, so I might be wrong

13:50.44Psi-JackYes. I understand, but the docs claim otherwise. :)
13:50.52mgraesslinSho_: yes exactly! In theory!
13:50.58Sho_:)
13:51.18Psi-JackSo, it seems autogroup by id is not working then? :)
13:51.55Sho_Wait, let me try to reproduce
13:52.35mgraesslinnormally I would also try to reproduce, but I'm running KWin/5 and have not yet tried window grouping
13:52.44Sho_Psi-Jack: works for me

13:53.49Sho_that's a bug imho, but at least one you can work around locally

14:20.34Psi-JackHeh.
14:21.15Psi-JackSo, IF I do it on the splash/login window, it works just fine. Once that window spawns out the actual window, it no longer succeeds. This is a bug of the Autogroup by ID, I'd say.
14:21.36Psi-JackBecause everything ELSE matches and works. The position and size are forced into place, but the Autogroup by Id fails.

14:32.30Psi-JackHeh, definitely a bug because the force temporary doesn't work either, I'm of course assuming too that force temporary means only do it for now, not on further matches. Kinda a pointless option since it doesn't apply to existing windows. :)
