00:00.27Dashkalmschiff: hmm, google failing me then.  I never did find the package but did figure out how to get kd3 to do it for me.

00:06.39mschiffDashkal: write a bugreport ;)
00:06.56DashkalI suspect it's intentional what with k3b gaining the functionality
00:07.12mschiffI am only missing two apps in kde4 that only exist for kde3: klibiso and amarok-1.4

00:11.18pinotreeDashkal: note it was part of the kdemultimedia source in kde3, so it was packaged from there
00:11.32mschiffDashkal: this was only the kde3 version
00:11.44Dashkal*nods* Yeah.  Piecing together the timeline it looks like they dropped it, and never added the new port which lives in extragear now.
00:12.10pinotreethe kde4 part wasn't that working at that time
00:12.33jonnorIs it not packaged for Debian?

03:19.37defenderbgMJD, it did not ask me to transfer any details
03:19.48Vamp898defenderbg there is a menu in KMail that is called "Import messages" and there you can set the old KMail

16:14.38Sho_mynameisdeleted: As for Mozilla/Firefox, it technically uses its own toolkit called XUL which has a number of native platform backends like the Win32 GUI APIs and GTK+ on Linux, so it's not exactly the "basis" - Firefox on Windows doesn't use GTK+

16:16.42Sho_mynameisdeleted: Qt is under the LGPL, just like GTK+
16:17.10mynameisdeletedI thought it was dual licensed either under gpl (for open source non-commercial projects) or under proprietary
16:17.24Sho_mynameisdeleted: It used to be, and it still is, but also LGPL was added as a third option some time ago
16:17.31Sho_mynameisdeleted: So now it's triple-licensed, basically
16:18.10Sho_(and it should be said that the GPL version came with a license exception which also allowed more than two dozen other open source licenses, so it was never "you need to use "GPL")
16:18.22Sho_(as evidenced by the fact that KDE's own libraries are LGPL, and several KDE apps are BSD-licensed)

16:19.24*** join/#kde bluesceada (n=itsjustm@unaffiliated/bluesceada)
16:19.31Sho_That depends, if the Windows app is bundled with its own statically linked copy of Qt that would be very difficult

16:20.09mynameisdeletedalso symbol replacement should work
16:20.25Sho_But a better approach overall would be to make a proper Linux version of the app
