00:08.42bzoAlex[sp3dev] jeez your logcat is f***
00:09.18Alex[sp3dev]oh yes
00:09.25bzothis is mine http://pastebin.ca/2015756
00:10.09Alex[sp3dev]and? looks like it does not fail. strange
00:11.07bzoI just find it odd that you get all those errors as soon as you startup the camera
00:11.39Alex[sp3dev]i just wonder why this is so epic
00:11.56bzoon my log, the camera has not even sent back any data yet, it is still stuck on init
00:12.06Alex[sp3dev]update the qdsp
00:12.14Alex[sp3dev]and clocks
00:12.38bzowhere did you update your qdsp from?
00:12.55bzoI think jbuneaux is just using the regular 27 stuff
00:13.36Alex[sp3dev]first i used jbruneaux patches, but then commited more stuff from CA (like changed duration and count for polling some buffer, and write and read event functions)
00:13.48Alex[sp3dev]not CA, but google 35 actually
00:14.43bzook
00:15.38F22phh: the question i tried to ask you the other day was related to the button layout.  i've been mulling over creating a cmd line option to adjust button layout. the power button however can not be adjusted from userland with the current setup the way the others can.  it can only be changed in the kernel. i was wondering if there was a reason for that. Do we want to make it adjustable from userland via the key layout file as well? or do we pr
00:16.05phhF22: your sentence has been cut :p
00:16.09phhat "or do we pr"
00:16.10Alex[sp3dev]note that i have copied most registers (like frame sizes etc) except for sensor-specific from mt9t013 while making that dmesg. it has removed the incorrect frame size problem, but those two crazy lines in logcat are not gone
00:16.28F22phh: or do we prefer simply to use module_param or __setup to make it configurable from within the kernel?
00:16.42phhF22: I don't know what can be done from userland
00:17.04Alex[sp3dev]do not _ever_ touch the power button. it must suspend the device.. map other buttons for home
00:17.05phhI want it as much as possible in userland, but I have to know what's the needs and what it is capable of
00:17.18F22the "navi_pad" file allows adjustment of all the other gpio buttons.
00:17.23phhAlex[sp3dev]: we're speaking about making it dynamic.
00:17.45Alex[sp3dev]phh: isn't that what android keymap files are for?
00:18.07F22i can set end to home in the "navi_pad" key layout for rhodium.
00:18.26F22i can not set power to home in the "navi_pad" key layout on the other hand.
00:18.54Alex[sp3dev]because power is handled by gpio_keys driver
00:18.57F22power is handled by a different driver, has its own event
00:18.58F22yes
00:19.49phhF22: you're allowed to do some hacks with "global" vars across both navi pad and msm-gpio-wince or whatever I called it
00:19.53Alex[sp3dev]maybe we can hack userspace to allow the configuration? like adding our own entry to settings like CM does
00:20.14Alex[sp3dev]Oo
00:20.16phhstinebd: what do you say ? /D
00:20.30stinebdpatches welcome
00:20.42phh:)
00:20.51F22lol, ok
00:21.06stinebdi'm not sure those can be changed without restarting android
00:21.10Alex[sp3dev]bzo: could you *politely* ask jbruneaux to try to use my clocks and qdsp to see if it works with mt9t013?
00:22.33bzosure, he was interested in doing a non-rpc vfe rail also
00:23.07Alex[sp3dev]but if it works.. it'll be my turn to poop bricks again

00:40.35F22Alex: My thought is to have msm-gpio-keys continue to assign KEY_POWER, but to optionally attach it to a different GPIO, say that of the endcall button. The GPIO attached to the original power button would then be available for reassignment in an accompanying "navi_pad" key layout file.  The kernel and the init script would both act on the same cmd line parameter in concert to achieve the desired result.
00:40.38F22So then possibilities like layout=pcmbh (current with end replaced by home), layout=hcmbp (power moved to end in kernel, old power then being assigned by init to a .kl where it is home) or layout=phmbs (standard android layout) all become viable options. The only time the kernel is effected is when power gets moved.
00:40.43*** join/#htc-linux BbLugNut (~kvirc@78-230.187-72.tampabay.res.rr.com)
00:41.50F22there would thus always be a power button
00:42.02F22set in the kernel
00:42.16Alex[sp3dev]fuck that. you can add a sysfs switch to dynamically change the power key code. but actually this must be fixed in android not to pull crap into kernel

12:01.56dekar_GNUtoo|laptop, is there a gnu/moko kernel for the g1 able to run with the new spl/radio (they get you +15mb ram and usually cause a boot loop on incompatible kernels)
12:02.15GNUtoo|laptophi
12:02.31GNUtoo|laptopwhat version of new SPL
12:02.42dekar_also I tried adding you via jabber - but so far my authorization hasn't been granted -.-
12:02.43GNUtoo|laptopbecause I think the kernel we have run on new bootloaders
12:02.58GNUtoo|laptopthat's because I didn't power on jabber
12:03.13dekar_GNUtoo|laptop, spl 1.33.0013d
12:03.18GNUtoo|laptopok
12:03.21GNUtoo|laptoplooks
12:03.30dekar_http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=831139
12:03.52dekar_it remaps some memory from the radio and camera iirc
12:04.10GNUtoo|laptopI've H-BOOT-1.33.2005
12:04.20GNUtoo|laptopon one of my 2 htcdream
12:04.32dekar_so you have 15mb less ram than I have
12:04.53GNUtoo|laptopok
12:05.03dekar_after installing the new one "cat /proc/iomem" shows you two regions of memory
12:05.37dekar_so I'd like to see a gnu kernel supporting the new memory map :)
12:05.58GNUtoo|laptopsounds interesting
12:06.28dekar_are you the only one left working on moko on g1?
12:06.56GNUtoo|laptopyes
12:07.08GNUtoo|laptopI do not work a lot on it tough
12:07.16GNUtoo|laptopbut if you have some patches I can push them
12:07.28GNUtoo|laptopaltough leviathan will work again on it but after he got his exam
12:07.56dekar_I'd just like to have some usable debian running - and being able to make calls using the moko programs

12:08.30GNUtoo|laptopI didn't follow the inclusion of fso+SHR apps in debian
12:08.37dekar_I think I'd prefer debian, since I love debian :)
12:08.39GNUtoo|laptopbut it could be doable
12:08.59dekar_yeah I'd guess I could make some packages on my own if needed
12:09.05GNUtoo|laptopdebian is nice but for now(it will change soon) it's armv4 only, which means it's slower
12:09.14GNUtoo|laptopit will also be harder to push upstream
12:09.27GNUtoo|laptopfor instance I eared that they are strict with kernel versions etc...

12:09.49GNUtoo|laptopanyway for the package I think there are some overlays/ppa/similar stuff
12:10.20GNUtoo|laptopfor now there is armel and an hard float version
12:10.31GNUtoo|laptopbut there will be a code sprint to add more architectures
12:10.36GNUtoo|laptopsuch as armv6 armv7
12:10.42GNUtoo|laptopthe dream is armv6-novfp
12:12.06dekar_hmm I guess I will at least try it - may use shr as well if debian runs horribly slow

12:13.00GNUtoo|laptoptake some informations on the code sprint for adding new architectures to debian
12:13.13GNUtoo|laptopyes altough there are still some issues
12:13.24dekar_issues like?
12:13.34GNUtoo|laptopwifi that eat the battery too rapidely

12:13.52GNUtoo|laptopyes it works fine
12:13.54dekar_I have a 3g contract anyway
12:14.23dekar_is the gps working? not that I really mind, but I guess it would be useful
12:14.25GNUtoo|laptopfor the battery life, I now moslty use it as a phone
12:14.37GNUtoo|laptopso it's nearly all the time suspended
