21:03.11makkonenis there any data that would be helpful for troubleshooting the do_smd_7500_probe problems on the RAPH800? I've looked at the code, but it's so far beyond me I don't even know where to start... I'm no kernel hacker -- I've barely even touched C code in my life.
21:05.44makkonenalso, I got some dmesg logs for wifi on the RAPH800, but I'm not sure they're worth looking into at this point. How is wifi working for gsm users now? Can it deal with WPA-encrypted routers? That give out dhcp addresses? because I haven't played with that side of things yet at all. Just tried it on my existing router setup, and it would see it, try to connect, and then wifi would shut down.
21:08.57phhmakkonen: wifi just works in linux.
21:09.10phhmeaning gnu linux
21:09.30makkonenbut is flaky in android?
21:09.33makkonenor what?
21:09.39phhyes
21:09.43phhi'm pretty sure it should works on raph800 too
21:11.05makkonenhow would I test it out without android? do I have to keep it from booting into android at all, or can I just use a terminal?
21:11.30makkonenIt's sort of tricky to do anything on the command line, since the U key doesn't work.
21:11.33phhyou can use terminal
21:11.52phh?!?
21:12.05phhyou can get adb or telnet working
21:12.37phhmakkonen: but first, what does lsmod says ?
21:12.43makkonenyeah. I don't know why, all the other keys on the hard keyboard work, but not U. I have no idea why that is.
21:13.55phhi mean is it empty or not ?
21:14.02makkonenhold on, I'll boot up and check

21:23.12phhok, that's fine
21:25.16phhso what happens when you want to activate wifi ?
21:26.24makkonenturns on, says 'unable to scan' for a second, but then finds the 2 routers that are in this house. when I connect to one, it usually pauses for a bit, then says unsuccessful, then switches off
