00:00.08Marajindcordes: not that I know if the zIMage will run on the kovsky but worth a try
00:00.31MarajinI distinctly doubt it will actually
00:11.37*** part/#htc-linux exco (n=exco@e181097139.adsl.alicedsl.de)
00:14.09dcordesMarajin: if you built for htcraphael it should work
00:14.13dcordesbut it's not totally uptodate
00:15.29dcordesdon't expect kovsky specific patches
00:18.11Marajindcordes: I know there's no kovsky specific, I'm trying to set it up so it will build correctly AS htckovsky, aren't we closer to blackstone than raphael?
00:18.36dcordestrue
00:19.18dcordesah gotcha you're just using poor OE for your secret kernel building purpose
00:20.38Marajinwell the code sourcery shit just segfaults inexplicably
00:20.47Marajinhowever OE does build the zImage
00:20.47Marajinso
00:21.31Marajindcordes: no harm in having OE ready and willing to build stuff for the kovsky huh?
00:21.43dcordeswell. what did you expect? OE is the best-in-class cross-compile environment.
00:21.57dcordestrue
00:21.58elliswaydcordes check pm m8
00:22.37Marajinand hopefully once you get your kovsky back and maybe we find someone else who has ANY idea about getting the hardware working under linux we can start doing stuff properly for the kovsky
00:23.05MarajinFrankly I know far less than I'd like and it's a bitch learning if no one is around who would be able to provide any advice -.-
00:23.40ali1234Marajin: use cs 2008q1, if it still segfaults, you've got bad hardware
00:23.47ali1234hows that for advice?
00:23.54Marajinali1234: complete bollocks? heh
00:24.24MarajinI've used 1, 2 and 3 and they all segfault at exactly the same place
00:24.28ali12342?
00:24.31ali1234there is no 2
00:24.34Marajinthere is
00:25.27Marajinhmm, weird, I could swear I used 3 different 2008 releases
00:25.29ali1234hmm
00:25.32MarajinI'm losing it
00:25.49MarajinI've used 1 and 3 and both segfault in exactly the same place for sure though
00:26.01ali1234care to paste bin the error?
00:26.25MarajinNot much point, it just says it segfaulted in the last line of er... calibrate.o
00:26.56MarajinI tried to get that working for weeks, everyone here just went 'we have no idea'
00:26.56ali1234yeah but there must have been lines before that
00:27.02ali1234heh
00:27.19ali1234i find it hard to believe that cs toolchain has a gcc bug that nobody found but you :)
00:27.32Marajinit probably doesn't, it probably dislikes a library on my system
00:27.41ali1234it's statically linked
00:27.48MarajinIt's probably from when I accidentally layed a rootfs for the kaiser over my real root
00:27.56ali1234omg
00:28.01Marajinhow I got away with that I don't know
00:28.47MarajinI had to fix like 4 more libs today just to get svn working again heh
00:28.58Marajinbut I did it months ago
00:29.08ali1234hmm it's not static actually
00:29.26Marajinaye, maybe the bug's gone now considering I fixed more libs today, who knows :p
00:34.04Marajinnope, still segs in the same place
00:34.39ali1234figure out the exact command that segfaults and run it in gdb
00:35.15Marajinali1234: http://pastebin.com/m3518cf9c
00:35.21Marajinthat's all I get
00:38.16ali1234gdb arm-none-linux-gnueabi-gcc init/calibrate.c -o init/calibrate.o
00:38.39ali1234well, try without gdb first, see if it still segfaults
00:39.50ali1234probably it will error
00:39.50ali1234missing headers or something
00:43.19ali1234maybe gcc left a core file somewhere
00:56.18Marajinali1234: yep it errors like a bitch about headers
00:58.46ali1234make V=1 to see the actual command
01:19.41tmztuh? with -c option?
01:20.53tmztdcordes: can somebody run lsusb on there then? or check the windows registry

06:07.34jayarajtoday i tried to run linwizard on HTC P3400i(GENE, WM6.0, OMAP850,201MHz,64MB) Though it says that i have 64MB, it says only 20.8MB is free! when i run the script in haret it says 'Failed to lock 5734 pages (code 998)' and the phone gets stuck then. i had to rest it after waiting for about 10 min. any thoughts?
06:11.22bodhianjayaraj, take a lookt at http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-440036.html
06:12.09jayarajbodhian, i am going through it now..
06:21.11bodhianjayaraj, maybe you can try to load a smaller initrd, only with a shell
06:21.17tmztthat doesn't seem to be the cause (that thread)
06:21.31tmztit is probably the initrd size, which linwizard version is it?
06:21.42tmztif not, someone in #linwizard may be able to help
06:22.08tmztand how big is the initrd?
06:22.20jayarajtmzt,linwizard2.0
06:22.30tmztwhat size?
06:22.49jayarajyea i think its the size.. may be its too big to fit my low configuration
06:22.54tmztthe squashfs image?
06:24.19jayarajtmzt, initrd is 20480KB and the image file 2416KB

06:25.38jayarajtmzt it aslo gave me another error during my first trials... cannot memallocate for bootstruct or something similar
06:27.02jayarajthe docs about lizwizard says WM5. i am on WM6. will it coz any problem?
06:28.31jayarajas bodhian said maybe ishould try a smaller kernal first.
06:33.21tmztit wouldn't be the kernel
06:33.31tmztit might be the total value
06:40.30jayarajhmm. that means not enough memory right?

20:25.29Pandemic187hey, what is a CTCP version?
20:26.05Untouchab1eCTCP VERSION causes your IRC Client to return a client-name-and-version string to the requesting user. It's a service provided by your client which you can turn on and off. On many IRC clients, you can even set a false VERSION string.
