12:24.58tzafrirwonders again what are the chances that Asterisk 13 will be released before Debian 8 is frosen (5-Nov)
12:26.59tzafrirAnd if not: which of the two would be preferred: 13 (pre release?) or keeping 11 for ~3 more years?

17:52.40rmudgettUgh.  When chan_pjsip negotiates codecs it forgets what it negotiated for other stream types.  It then winds up resetting the other stream types.
17:56.35mjordanwhat do you mean by stream types?
17:56.47mjordanah, you mean the video stream?
17:56.56mjordan(right now, there's really only two)
17:58.31mjordanfile: lawl
17:58.31mjordanhttps://bamboo.asterisk.org/bamboo/browse/AST-ATSF3-381
17:59.37fileblinks
17:59.47rmudgettThats what I mean.  The audio is processed first and picks g722.  Then video is processed and picks whatever.  In the process it has all the audio codecs involved in the list even though we earlier negotiated g722.
17:59.52jsmithfile: You obviously *do* need a vacation
18:00.10filejsmith, world boundaries are hard
18:00.15mjordanrmudgett: that's an artifact of having capabilities between streams being shared in the same structure, which is not ideal
18:00.39jsmithfile: It's not even geographical boundaries.... boundaries, in general, are hard
18:00.47mjordanrmudgett: I like the idea of keeping the joint capabilities for each media stream separate; unfortunately, at some point they have to be merged on the ast_channel
18:01.54filefixes
18:02.04mjordantests!
18:02.27filemjordan, ARE LAMEEEEEEEE

18:21.40putnopvutFound an interesting ARI issue. The channel and bridge resources offer a "record" operation. In that, you can specify "beep=true" in order to play a beep when recording starts. Problem is, during that beep, any operations attempting to manipulate the live recording (such as canceling it) are met with a 500 response.
18:22.33putnopvutPlan for now is to open an issue to investigate it, but honestly it seems like it could be difficult to get correct.
18:25.28mjordanhm.
18:25.51mjordanThere probably aren't any events with that beep either, are there
18:26.03putnopvutNo, not that I know of.

19:22.58putnopvutWow, I just had the most bizarre thing happen in my ARI testing. Word to the wise: if you're performing DTMF-related testing, don't do it with two speaker phones right next to each other.
19:24.53putnopvutPressing '*' on one phone caused the audio from it to get picked up by the other phone, causing Asterisk to think the other phone had pressed '*' as well.
19:26.43mjordanI had that happen before
19:26.46mjordanIt is really odd
19:27.05malcolmdgood ole' in band DTMF
19:29.47putnopvutI thought for sure there was a bug in ARI.
19:29.53putnopvutBut no, it's a bug in my common sense.
19:31.08Marquis42I can see how you'd think it was a bug in ARI and then your head would break trying to figure out just how that was possible.
19:32.01putnopvutWell, it seemed sensible for a sec. ARI was sending ChannelDtmfReceived events to both channels, so I thought maybe it was sending the event to ALL channels instead of just one.
19:32.36Marquis42Ah, yeah, I can see that.
19:32.57Marquis42BTW, it'd be super-awesome if the swagger JSON files no longer had /stasis as their base path. :D
